Connect to nbn™ Fibre to the Curb (FTTC)

What you need to know before you choose your ASCOMM nbn™ FTTC Broadband service.

What happens during the installation process?

To connect to the nbn™ on Fibre to the Curb (FTTC), Ascensa will assist you with installing an nbn™ Network Connection Device (NCD). You will have the option to bring your own (BYO) nbn™ compatible Broadband Wi-Fi Router or Internet Gateway or alternatively, we can supply you with a preconfigured nbn™ approved Gigabit Dual-Band Broadband Wi-Fi Router.

nbn™ service installation process

To connect you to FTTC, nbn™ will use the existing copper cable running into your home. In many cases, nbn™ can connect you without needing to visit your premises.

If you don’t have an existing copper cable, Ascensa can arrange for an nbn™ technician to connect your premises. In some cases, even where you are using your copper line for an existing telephone or internet service, a service appointment with an nbn™ technician will be required to test and connect to the nbn™.

On the day of installation, someone over 18, whose name is on the account must be home to approve the location. If you’re renting, seek approval from your landlord before getting it installed.
