DGtek Networks expansion continues
DGtek has recently acquired FG Telecom as part of its ongoing network expansion in Australia. FG Telecom is fibre network provider locally based in Port Melbourne, and currently services business customers in the Melbourne central business district (CBD).
The strategic acquisition will expand DGtek’s network coverage by over 25% across the Melbourne metropolitan area., More importantly, this expansion provides DGtek with triple redundancy to its Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) network through diverse paths to Port Melbourne’s major data centres, ensuring network stability, security and significantly reducing the risk of potential network dropouts from unplanned third-party outages.
